We pushed our latest image (10.4.9) on the latest MBs, and although they appeared to boot and run fine at first, found we had issues with sleep, and no network ports showing. Tried running the 10.4.11 Combo
Updater....it would not run on the hardware. Finally ran it via TDM from another Mac, and although the network ports appeared and worked when booted to 10.4.11, sleep would not work. Badly broken, 100% of
the time. Read somewhere else there are issues with the screensaver too, though I never got far enough to test it......and that may have really just been sleep problems anyway.
Got some info from an admin in a different forum that I trust who said that his Apple rep gave him a heads up a couple weeks before they latest model hit that he'd better buy everything that he needed to
install 10.4 on.....quickly.
Ouch. We are working on a 10.5 image sooner than we had wanted.
