Not that I appreciate Apple locking new machine models to the latest Mac OS
but this has been their history for years. A new Mac OS announcement means
"plan now to stockpile machines". (This really is hard to explain to the
money-holders in an organization.)
I expect we'll see some new systems announced at Macworld or shortly
thereafter that will discontinue the present Tiger-bootable Macs.
