[Casper] New 10.5 MacBook Pros and MacPros

When I built my 10.5.2 Base OS, I started on the MacBook Air, then I
re-ran the combo updater after putting that image on an iMac Intel
Aluminum. This added back the Ethernet Built-In port that the Macbook
Air was missing. Maybe some other things I didn't know about.
Interesting thing is that on the MacBook Air, the wireless is called (en0)
which usually is the built-in ethernet, then the USB Ethernet dongle is
called (en1). Then if we put the image on a iMac, it is the same
designation-- (en0) for wireless and (en1) for wired. However, it appears
that the JSS shows the devices correctly as Ethernet MAC and Airport MAC.
I don't think it matters too much at this point.

Seems to be working so far.

Unless reasons against it come out, I always go with the latest pro
portable. If you build your master 10.5.2 image on a Mac Pro, you may be
missing trackpad, isight, accelerometer, bluetooth and airport software.

A combo update provide some of this, but since the 10.5.2 build shipping
with the new machines is a newer revision than the 10.5.2 combo updater,
and the 10.5.3 update isn?t released yet, you?d have to know exactly what
you?re looking for, harvest it from an installed MacBook Pro and copy it
to the Mac Pro.

It?s easier to build on the portable, and I?ve never had a problem with
dropping that image onto a desktop.

What I?m curious about is if we will be able to image MacBook Airs with an
image developed on a MacBook Pro after applying the 10.5.3 Combo update
(once it?s available).

Which is best for building the master image off of? Both are shipping
