I¹ll one up ya on this one. ;-)
I think the idea of creating a new static group is a good one and it would
certainly resolve my problem. So... I would then want a feature where I
could exclude groups from views such as my list in the Casper application so
that I don¹t have a bunch of static views for one purpose appearing
everywhere else. Maybe something simple like Retrospect¹s method of
excluding folders for backup would be best. To exclude a group from
appearing outside the JSS just append a bullet to the beginning of the group
name. Or maybe a simple checkbox in the group¹s window in the JSS that says
something like ³Use only for policies and tasks².
I dunno. We¹ll let the brains at JAMF figure the best way of doing (or not
doing) it.
