[Composer] "Smart" Scripts

Hello Folks,

Since I'm not so hot with the perl scripting perhaps someone out there or
the JAMF guys can help me.

I'd like to make my scripts smarter, basically give them the ability to
determine if the machine the script is running is Intel or PPC, and then act
accordingly. Right now I have two separate scripts to deal with Intel and
PPC to update my restore partitions with Casper Remote. Scripts, unlike
packages, don't have the logic switch to tell the JAMF binary to use another
package if trying to install a PPC package on an Intel.

I don't think I'd even go as far as requesting that as a feature either
because I'm hoping I can just do it in a single script anyway. These are the
only scripts that I've needed separate ones for.

What is it that you use to determine processor type? How can I roll this
into a perl script?

Thanks in advance for anyone's help!
