I created the package and distributed and get a 150:30 error. I sent an email to Jamf and they sent back some fixes for it. The Licensing Service Update worked but is an applescript. The problem is it makes a lot of calls to several scripts so Jamf software says there is no way to make it distributable. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is anyone getting CS4 to install. My license is a multiple site license if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ________________________________ Amir Bozorgzadeh Campus Technology Services University of Iowa 2800 UCC Iowa City, Iowa 52242 319-335-5480 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... After reading somewhere that the install tool in the current version of Casper was designed for CS3 and knowing that CS4 is considerably more complex (there's a lot more communication going on between the applications so it's evolving into something more like an OS than an application suite), I opted to try Adobe's deployment tools. These I deployed and ran from ARD. The overview/disclaimer and links to documentation can be found here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405450. Even though I was only working with a comparative handful of Macs, I was able to get it to work after a couple of tests. I was able to customize the deployment to a degree, leaving out the Version Cue Server and Acrobat.com, but discovered that Adobe AIR is a required component. The deployment tool logs the steps in infinitesimal detail, so finding a problem can be challenging. Eventually, I discovered the error message buried under several windows it had open on the client workstation. On a positive note, it appears that the installation process is quite similar on Macs and PCs (though totally different from traditional deployments on either).
