From eric.winkelhake at mundocomww.com Wed Aug 12 09:39:24 2009 From: eric.winkelhake at mundocomww.com (Eric Winkelhake) Date: Wed, 12 Aug 2009 11:39:24 -0500 Subject: [Resourcekit] AdobePreInstall.pkg Message-ID: Is anyone using the Pre/Post install pkgs from the kit?? I'm having an issue with the preinstall pkg. The package downloads and begins to run and from what I can see creates a user called adobeinstall, at that point point I can't tell what else it's done but it hangs at 70% in casper remote. Looking through running processes and system changes, I noticed in the install.log it's looping "first run: checking for logged in user". Since the machine was sitting at the login window and from past adobe installer experience I went ahead and tried logging in with that adobeinstall account using a blank password. BAM the machine logged in and proceeded to drop the jamf helper curtain and all started to run. The second part of this is that I get "Error: The package does not appear to be on the server (403). " This only happens when I'm using the AdobePreInstall.pkg. Any ideas?? eric winkelhake mundocomww office 312 220 1669 cell 312 504 5155 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer The information in this email and any attachments may contain proprietary and confidential information that is intended for the addressee(s) only. I know that doesn't sound like a lot; however, because it shows the program running in the dock, it may raise some questions by the people who are using a Mac. Is there any way to have it execute without the icon appearing in the dock? Thanks! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
